Code of Conduct for Employees of Aboriginal Health Services

As a healthcare worker, you play a vital role in:

• helping the healthcare service deliver its services
• protecting the patient and the public from harm and
• aluing all aspects of equality and diversity

What you do has a big impact on the quality of healthcare for people who use the service. In this module, you will review a set of guiding principles that guide conduct of all employees of health services. The principles are referred to as a “code of conduct”. • Apply the underlying principles of a code of conduct in everyday work interactions.
• Know how to identify a potential breach of the expected standard of conduct.
• Know what to do once a potential breach of the expected standard has been identified.
